William “Buck” Jones and his wife Carolyn began W.L. Jones Electric with little more than a tool belt, a notebook, thirty-six dollars and a 1967 Chevrolet pickup truck. Many nights, after the dishes were cleared from the table, the plans and blueprints took their place and they continued to lay out designs and bid new jobs. Long hours and hard work paid off for Buck and Carolyn and W.L. Jones Electric earned a reputation for quality and honesty. As their reputation grew, so did the demand for their work. W.L. Jones Electric grew with it, but they never lost sight of the values that made them successful. In a field filled with fly by night contractors and here today, gone tomorrow builders, W.L. Jones Electric has been serving Windsor, Isle of Wight, Southampton, Suffolk, Franklin and the surrounding areas for over forty years. Two of their children, Jennifer Gore and Will Jones, have grown up in the family business and actively continue the tradition of excellence and integrity that made W.L. Jones Electric what it is today.
